I ordered a fixed-blade knife from Wild Bill Wholesale. Eleven days later, the status of my order remained "pending shipment." Given that their shipping policy claims a normal 1-4 day shipping process, I contacted them.

Only because I initiated contact did they bother to informed me that the item I ordered was out of stock. It is deceptive and poor business practice to list an item to be purchased (implying to the customer that the item is actually available), when in reality the item is already out of stock. Not only that, they didn't bother to inform me that I would not be receiving the product I purchased any time soon (if at all) because they did not have the product! At least, the customer service was not terrible.

Email responses were quick, and I was ultimately refunded the full amount.

But no further compensation was offered to me for all the trouble this had caused. Needless to say, I will not be shopping at Wild Bill Wholesale ever again.
